This onboarding process is designed to ensure all adult actors represented, managed, or professionally supported through Indy Global Talent Development are prepared to meet current entertainment industry standards, professional expectations, and production requirements across film, television, streaming, commercial, theatre, voiceover, and digital media industries.

Our goal is to help talent maintain a professional, industry-ready presence while supporting long-term career development, strategic positioning, branding, and professional growth.

Professional Standards & Industry Expectations

Adult actors are expected to maintain professionalism, preparedness, accountability, and ethical conduct throughout all professional interactions, productions, auditions, rehearsals, public appearances, and online platforms.

Professional reputation, reliability, communication, and preparedness are critical components of long-term success within the entertainment industry.

Self-Tape & Audition Standards

Actors are encouraged to maintain the ability to produce professional self-tape submissions consistent with current casting industry expectations.

Recommended self-tape setup includes:

  • Neutral background

  • Professional lighting

  • Clear audio quality

  • Stable camera positioning

  • Appropriate framing and wardrobe

Professional self-tape quality is considered an industry standard within modern casting environments.

Professional Conduct Expectations

Clients are expected to:

  • Arrive prepared and on time

  • Maintain respectful communication

  • Follow production rules and set etiquette

  • Respect confidentiality agreements

  • Maintain professional behavior online and in public-facing environments

Repeated unprofessional conduct may affect representation status or future professional opportunities.

Training & Professional Development

Continued training and professional development are strongly encouraged.

Actors may benefit from ongoing participation in:

  • Acting workshops

  • Voice training

Independent Contractor Status

Clients acknowledge that performers within the entertainment industry commonly operate as independent contractors.

Clients remain responsible for:

  • Taxes

  • Insurance

  • Financial planning

  • Professional expenses

  • Personal legal and accounting consultation when necessary

Indy Global Talent Development does not provide employment benefits, tax withholding, or financial guarantees.

Materials should accurately reflect the client’s current appearance, skills, experience, and marketability.

Appearance & Branding Standards

Clients are expected to maintain consistency in professional appearance and branding.

Management should be notified prior to significant appearance changes including:

  • Hair color or hairstyle changes

  • Tattoos or piercings

  • Significant weight changes

  • Cosmetic alterations

  • Facial hair changes

Updated professional materials may be required following appearance modifications.

Social Media & Public Image

Clients are expected to maintain a professional online presence consistent with entertainment industry standards.

Public behavior, social media activity, and online reputation may influence:

  • Casting decisions

  • Brand partnerships

  • Industry relationships

  • Professional opportunities

Clients are encouraged to maintain brand-safe and professional public-facing content.


Union & Industry Compliance

Indy Global Talent Development supports professional development for both union and non-union talent and encourages compliance with all applicable entertainment industry regulations, labor laws, and union requirements.

For SAG-AFTRA and union-regulated productions:

  • Employment opportunities may only be procured through properly licensed and/or franchised agents where required by law

  • Productions remain subject to applicable union agreements and regulations

  • Clients are responsible for understanding applicable union obligations and membership requirements
