The entertainment, fashion, and commercial industries require heightened responsibility, safety awareness, financial protections, and educational accountability when working with infant, child, and teen talent.

The following expectations and standards are designed to help families understand professional industry requirements commonly associated with entertainment, fashion, commercial print, media, and performance industries.

Infant & Toddler Models

Ages: Newborn – 4 Years

Infant and toddler talent require direct parental or legal guardian supervision at all times.

Parents and guardians are expected to:

  • Maintain professional communication

  • Ensure child comfort and safety

  • Follow all production and set regulations

  • Maintain updated photographs and measurements

  • Provide accurate availability and scheduling information

Child Models

Ages 5–12

Child models entering entertainment, commercial, or fashion industries must maintain professional readiness appropriate for their age category.


Teen Models

Ages 13–17

Teen talent are expected to begin developing higher levels of professionalism, communication, and personal accountability while remaining under parental or guardian supervision where legally required.

Social Media & Branding Standards

All talent and guardians should understand that:

  • Social media presence impacts marketability

  • Professional conduct online is expected

  • Brand-safe content is strongly encouraged on Private account.

  • Professional accounts are run by Management

Inappropriate online conduct may negatively impact opportunities, partnerships, or representation status.

Child Performer Financial Protections

Parents and guardians of minor performers should familiarize themselves with applicable state labor laws and entertainment industry financial protection requirements.

For many entertainment industry productions involving minors, states may require:

  • Coogan Accounts

  • Blocked Trust Accounts

  • UTMA/UGMA compliant trust accounts

These accounts are designed to protect a portion of a minor performer’s earnings until adulthood. Indy Global will require guardians set up and maintain one of the above accounts.

Important Financial Notes

Certain states, including California, New York, Illinois, Louisiana, and others, may require a percentage of a child performer’s earnings to be deposited into protected trust accounts by law.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for:

  • Establishing required trust accounts

  • Understanding applicable labor laws

  • Managing tax obligations

  • Monitoring financial compliance


Industry Expectations

Parents and guardians should understand:

  • Infant and toddler work environments may involve:

    • studio lighting

    • commercial productions

    • photography sessions

    • limited production schedules

  • Child comfort, temperament, and scheduling flexibility are critical factors within casting and production decisions.

Required Professional Materials

Child talent may be required to maintain:

  • Current headshots

  • Digitals / Polaroids

  • Portfolio images

  • Resume or experience sheet (if applicable)

  • Updated measurements

  • Parent/guardian contact information

Education Requirements

Education remains a priority for all minor talent.

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

  • Maintaining school compliance

  • Monitoring academic performance

  • Ensuring educational obligations are met during productions

Certain productions may require:

  • studio teachers

  • limited work hours

  • school permits

  • educational compliance documentation

State labor laws and entertainment regulations vary by jurisdiction.


Banking & Trust Requirements

Safety & Welfare Standards

The safety and wellbeing of minor talent remain a priority within professional entertainment environments.

Parents and guardians should ensure:

  • minors are appropriately supervised

  • productions comply with applicable child labor laws

  • working environments remain professional and age-appropriate

Industry regulations may include:
